Our projects
A focus on Artificial Intelligence: Walter Sisulu University – AI Centre
The Novus Foundation aims to be a recognised leader in pioneering AI in education across Africa through enabling large-scale research, teacher training, and community-based innovation. This initiative will extend its impact far beyond the university, reaching rural and underserved communities, shaping national AI adoption in education, and fostering cross-border collaboration.
Digital Transformation through SACE-Endorsed ICT Course for Teachers
The Novus Foundation aims to advance digital transformation in education by first addressing the urgent need for basic technological skills among teachers. This initiative builds on the proven success of the ICT course developed and delivered by MML, which received strong positive feedback from teachers and was promoted by the DBE across all provinces. In direct response to the DBE’s call to close the ICT training gap, the course will equip educators with essential digital literacy, forming the foundation for
effective teaching in a technology-driven environment.
Book Donations: Reading Initiatives
In support of the Reading for meaning agenda. Strengthening learners and teachers through book resources directly will continue to support South Africa’s priority to expand quality and improve learning outcomes.
Early Childhood Development (ECD) / Creche
In South Africa, it’s estimated that around 1.15 million children between the ages of three and five are not enrolled in any early learning programme. Our focus is to expand quality ECD interventions focused on school readiness, teacher training, and community support.
